ICON features 16,000 square feet of prime, ground-level restaurant and retail space, including 6,000 square feet facing PETCO Park. In addition, there is another 15,000 square feet of work/live space with sidewalk entrances.

Other public infrastructure planned for the neighboring area is a new state-of-the-art public library. Across the street to the east and currently under construction is the Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge. When complete, the iconic bridge will connect Balboa Park & San Diego Bay via Park Blvd, also linking PETCO Park and the Convention Center.
Icon will benefit tremendously from this bridge as it will open up Park Boulevard pedestrian traffic via Harbor Drive, linking directly with the new 1,000-room Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the one million plus visitors that attend Conventions Center annually.
